My Dad who has early onset frontotemporal Dementia eating a banana with the kids talking about inappropriate language and what the word inappropriate means! Dad has frontal lobe dementia and is in his 4th year since diagnosis. He is only 60 and started showing symptoms at about 55, it took ages to get him diagnosed. He is non verbal now, and we are not really sure how much he understands but he smiles at us heaps especially when we pick him up to go for a drive in the car. He is just so child like and cute. Bit different from the Dad I grew up with! LOL
